Fabric and texture

A solid, matte fabric with a fine crinkled grain across the surface and a soft, easy drape. The color is a deep brick red that leans toward true red, redder than wine or burgundy and with no pink in it, and the belt is cut from the same fabric, so the whole dress reads as one rich, unbroken color. There is no waist seam: the dress falls loose from the dropped shoulders, the belt ties high above the bump, and below it the fabric settles into soft, natural gathers and a relaxed, slightly A-line skirt. The main fabric is 95% polyester and 5% spandex.

How long is this dress?

It is a short dress: in our photos the hem lands a little above the knee, and there is no slit. Below the belt the skirt hangs loose and flares slightly into an easy A-line, as the front, side and chest-down views show. What are the neckline, sleeves and back like?

A small round neckline sits close to the base of the neck, finished with a narrow topstitched binding. The shoulders drop toward the upper arm and run straight into loose short sleeves cut in one piece with the bodice, each ending in a turned-back cuff at about the middle of the upper arm. At the back, a small keyhole opening at the center of the neckline fastens at the top with a small button, a seam runs down the center to the hem, and the belt lies flat across the back waist. What are the belt and the fabric like?

The belt is cut from the same fabric and ties at the high waist, just under the bust and above the bump; in our photos it is knotted at her left front, with long ends hanging toward the hem. There is no waist seam, so below the belt the fabric falls into soft, natural gathers. The main fabric is 95% polyester and 5% spandex: a matte, finely crinkled solid with a soft drape, in a deep brick red that leans toward true red. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the dress is unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original tags and packaging. Trying it on at home is fine. Just message us first so we can approve your return.

For a different size, send the original back and we’ll ship the new size free of charge (subject to stock).
