Fabric and texture

A matte, textured fabric in a bright, clear light sky blue, close to baby blue; in our photos it reads clear rather than dusty or grayish, and it is much lighter than royal blue. Rows of fine horizontal ripples run across the whole dress, giving the surface a crinkled look that catches tiny highlights and shadows, and the same fabric forms the narrow binding at the neckline and armholes. The bodice sits close to the body, and below the seam just under the bust the skirt is gathered all the way around, falling into a loose A-line over the bump that flares out a little toward the hem.

What are the neckline, armholes and back like?

A small round neckline sits close to the base of the neck, and the dress is sleeveless, with tank-style straps and cut-in armholes that leave the arms and the outer edge of each shoulder bare; the neckline and armholes are both finished with a narrow binding in the same fabric. The back is smooth, with a round neckline like the front and the gathered high-waist seam running all the way around. What is the fabric like, and how is the dress shaped?

It is one matte, textured fabric throughout, with fine horizontal ripples that give it a crinkled look, and the narrow binding at the edges is cut from the same fabric. The bodice is fitted, while the skirt is gathered from the high-waist seam and hangs loosely over the bump, with no belt, bow or print. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the dress is unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original tags and packaging. Trying it on at home is fine. Just message us first so we can approve your return.

For a different size, send the original back and we’ll ship the new size free of charge (subject to stock).
