Fabric and texture

Smooth, matte knit in a rich magenta, a reddish purple rather than a blue-violet, a soft lavender or a hot pink, forms the bodice and the straight underskirt. Over it, layers of soft, matte, sheer tulle in vertical stripes of purple, blue-violet, light blue, pale yellow and pink, mostly purple, are gathered at the high waist and blend into new shades where they overlap.

How long is this dress, and does it have a train?

It is a floor-length maxi that ends in a sweep train at the back: the matching knit underskirt falls to the floor, the striped tulle reaches the floor at the front and sides, and behind you the tulle spreads out into an uneven, pointed hem. There is no slit, and the side and back views and the sweep-train close-up in the material guide show the train from several angles. Your height changes where the hem lands, so check the length for your size in the size chart on this page.

What are the neckline, sleeves and back like?

It is an off-the-shoulder neckline that leaves both shoulders bare: an elastic edge runs across your upper arms and the back, and the two front knit panels cross into a V. The short sleeves are fitted, rest on the upper arm and finish in a plain hem, and the back is plain knit under the elastic edge, with no zipper or buttons, so the dress pulls on. What are the tulle and the underskirt like?

Under the tulle, a straight knit underskirt in the same shade as the bodice runs to the floor, and layers of soft, matte tulle in vertical stripes are gathered over it at the high waist and widen toward the hem. The tulle is sheer, so the stripes mix into new shades where they overlap and the knit shows through, and it falls softly rather than standing out. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the dress is unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original tags and packaging. Trying it on at home is fine. Just message us first so we can approve your return.

For a different size, send the original back and we’ll ship the new size free of charge (subject to stock).
