Fabric and texture

A smooth, matte fabric in solid black, with a fine, even surface, no sheen and no print or visible texture. It is a true, neutral black that leans neither brown nor blue, so the three light wood-tone buttons on the short front placket stand out clearly against it. Narrow matching binding finishes the scoop neckline and the armholes, and below the seam just under the bust the skirt is gathered all the way around, falling in soft folds into a loose A-line over the bump that swings out a little as you walk. The main fabric is 95% rayon and 5% spandex.

How long is this dress?

It is a short A-line dress: in our photos the hem lands just above the knee, and there is no slit. Over the bump, the front of the skirt sits a little higher than the back, as the side view shows, and the skirt flares out softly from the gathered high waist. What are the neckline, buttons and back like?

The front has a wide scoop neckline finished with a narrow binding, set on wide tank straps, and the armholes are bound the same way. A short, narrow placket runs from the neckline to about halfway down the bodice and carries three small, round, light wood-tone buttons. At the back, the scoop dips lower than at the front, the bodice is smooth, and a single seam runs down the center of the skirt. What is the fabric like, and how is the dress shaped?

The main fabric is 95% rayon and 5% spandex: a smooth, matte black fabric with no sheen that falls in soft folds. The short bodice sits close to the body, and from the seam just under the bust the skirt is gathered all the way around into a loose A-line over the bump. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the dress is unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original tags and packaging. Trying it on at home is fine. Just message us first so we can approve your return.
