Fabric and texture

A smooth, matte solid with a fluid drape, showing only a soft sheen where the light falls and no print or texture across the surface. The black is deep and neutral, without a brown or blue undertone in our photos, and the knot at the throat, the band around the neck and the twist at the back are all the same black. The maker lists this fabric as a moderate stretch, and since there is no seam at the waist, one close line runs from the bust down over the bump and hips to the thighs, with soft diagonal folds along both sides of the bump, before the skirt fans out into a mermaid flare around the knee.
