Fabric and texture

A light, matte printed fabric that drapes softly yet holds a little shape, covered edge to edge in a ditsy floral: tiny rose-pink three- and four-petal flowers, apricot daisies with pale centers and deep teal blossoms, with little grey-green leaves and specks of blush and soft brown on a warm white ground. The blooms sit close together with the white ground peeking through, so from a few steps away the dress reads as white scattered with pink and apricot rather than a bold, oversized floral. A band of elastic smocking circles the waist, sitting just under the bust in our photos, and below it the A-line skirt falls loosely over the bump to a gently waved hem. The main fabric is 100% polyester.

How long is this dress?

It is a short A-line dress: in our photos the hem lands just above the knee, and there is no slit. Below the smocked waist the skirt flares out softly to a loose, gently waved hem rather than a full, puffy skirt, as the front, side and chest-down views show. Your height changes where the hem falls, so check the length for your size in the size chart on this page.

What are the neckline, sleeves and back like?

A high round neckline sits close to the base of the neck and is finished with a narrow binding. The sleeves are flutter ruffles: a wavy ruffle with a narrow rolled edge is sewn along the top of each armhole, covering the shoulder and the very top of the arm, and the underarm is cut like a sleeveless dress. At the back, a keyhole opening sits at the center of the back neckline, and the smocking runs all the way around the waist. What is the fabric like, and how is the dress shaped?

The main fabric is 100% polyester: a light, matte print that falls in soft folds yet keeps a little body. Rows of elastic smocking shape the waist, sitting just under the bust in our photos, and the A-line skirt hangs loosely over the bump below; the flutter ruffles and the smocking are the only trims, with no belt or tie. Changed your mind or need a different fit? Message us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll approve your return; you only pay the return postage.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the dress is unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with its original tags and packaging. Trying it on at home is fine. Just message us first so we can approve your return.
