Above the sash, the bodice is a solid, matte mint with a clear blue-green tint, brighter than a sage and greener than a sky blue, with a fine, even surface and no print. Below it, the skirt and the sash share a matte printed fabric that falls in soft folds, covered edge to edge in tiny five-petal flowers in coral to watermelon pink with deeper red centers, and little steel-blue leaves tucked between them on a white ground. The flowers sit close together with only a little white showing, so from a few steps away the skirt reads as coral pink flecked with blue rather than a hot pink or orange floral. From the seam just under the bust, the skirt is gathered all the way around and opens into an A-line that falls away from the bump rather than clinging to it. The main fabric is 95% polyester and 5% spandex.

How long is this dress?

It is knee-length: in our photos the hem lands at about the knee, and there is no slit. At the seam just under the bust the skirt is gathered all the way around and flares into an A-line rather than a full, puffy skirt; the front, side and chest-down views show the shape. What are the neckline, sleeves and back like?

The round neckline sits just above the collarbone and is finished with a narrow binding and a line of topstitching. A wavy flutter ruffle with a narrow rolled edge runs from the front of each armhole over the shoulder to the back, covering the shoulder and the very top of the arm, while below the underarm the arm is bare, as on a sleeveless dress. The back has a round neckline as well, a smooth, plain bodice and the sash wrapped around the high waist. How do the nursing zips work?

One hidden zip runs inside each of the two vertical seams on the front of the bodice, for nursing after baby arrives. Each zip has a tiny pull at the top of its seam, near the armhole, and opens downward into a vertical opening over the bust; zipped up, you only see the two seams and the small pulls. The front close-ups in the photos show the seams and pulls, and how the dress fits once baby is here depends on your measurements at that time.
